The director of this film is Jon Favreau. It is written by Justin Marks (who took charge of the screenplay) and Rudyard Kipling (who wrote the book). It’s produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The original Jungle Book was released in 1942 and later in 1967. The book is loved by many people worldwide. Furthermore, there were also Jungle Book series shown on TV in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
This brandnew 2016 version has been praised for its amazing animated picture quality. The Jungle Book is made with the latest technology and its animated picture looks just like reality. This is called photorealistic imagery. Also, Mowgli and his father are played by real actors, so real humans are blended into an animated scenery of nature and animals. Compare this to one of the first beautiful animated 3D movies, such as Monsters Inc, and you’ll see how much the technology has advanced. Your children will believe it’s all real!

The story is about Mowgli, a boy who is raised by a family of wolves in the jungle. A Bengal tiger named Shere Kahn picks up on the scent of Mowgli, as he is human. He threatens the wolves that one day, he will come for the boy, as he feels mankind cannot be trusted. For this reason, Mowgli decides to leave his home and goes on a journey to discover himself. During this journey, he has two companions: (1) Bagheera, a panther-turned-stern, who will act as Mowgli’s mentor, and (2) Baloo, a bear. Mowgli builds up a strong bond with Baloo and decides to stay with him. When the black panther Bagheera comes to find Mowgli to convince him to return, Mowgli is abducted by monkeys. Baloo and Bagheera try to save Mowgli and finally Mowgli will return to face the Bengal tired Shere Kahn.
3D Film Box Office Hit
The movie is expected to gross $60-70 million dollars in its initial weekend in USA and Canada. The movie is to be rolled out all over the world, in all markets.
